Sep. 7th, 2011 09:17 amI regularly get reviewers who post warnings about my fiction, and today I hear that something I put out in fandom years ago has made it difficult for a person reading fiction in that particular fandom. For years.

I know I usually write dark, but even with work I don't especially consider hard-hitting, I get this. And this is the thing - it's something I need to accept, simple as that. Also simple as that - people don't always like what I write, and sometimes they're offended or insulted or outraged. I have to admit that I don't really get the intensity of those feelings, but ... this is how I write and I'm not going to change it. So buckle up and wear your chin guard, me.
