rules to write by; things to remember

Sometimes writing is fucking boring - parts of the story you really don't want to deal with, transitional scenes (I feel a yawn coming on). Doesn't mean it's boring to read. The reader hasn't agonized over how fucking boring this scene is, they just read it to get to the next point. DEAL, mofu. JUST DEAL. You can do it. You have done it (remember Xander and Seth at the boarding house? uuuuugh, blech, kill me - but it reads pretty damn well). Buckle down.
For anybody reading this - the vampire story is progressing pretty well - easier than anything else I've written lately.
